  • What's open and closed on Family Day in Ottawa

Family Day is a provincial holiday in Ontario and there are some closures and schedule changes to keep in mind.

It is not a federal holiday so Quebec has a normal business schedule and federal government operations are running.

OC Transpo runs a reduced weekday schedule on Monday, Feb. 17.

Most malls and shopping centres are closed, except the Rideau Centre. It’s open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., while nearby some stores in the ByWard Market remain open.

What's open and closed on Easter weekend in Ottawa?

Here's a look at what's closed in Ottawa and elsewhere in the region through Easter weekend.

Ottawa City Hall and the city's seven service centres are closed, as is the city's provincial offences court at 100 Constellation Crescent. The Ottawa City Hall building will be open so people can visit its three galleries and see the FIFA Women's World Cup trophy Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Garbage, recycling and green bin pickups that usually happen on Fridays will instead happen on Saturday.
